Data & Databases

Everything else stalls on data long before it stalls on anything clever. We design the databases, build the pipelines, migrate the estates that have outlived their platform, and deliver reporting people are willing to act on.

WHAT WE BUILD

From schema design to the dashboard on the wall

DATABASES

Database engineering

Relational and dimensional design across on-premises and cloud-native engines. Indexing and execution-plan tuning, partitioning for high-volume tables, and schema migration under change control rather than applied by hand at midnight.

PIPELINES

ETL & data integration

Batch and event-driven pipelines with lineage and reconciliation. Ingestion from ERP, CRM and HRIS sources, plus the interchange formats regulated industries actually run on.

MIGRATION

Legacy platform migration

Off end-of-life integration platforms onto managed services, run in parallel to prove equivalence transaction by transaction before anyone commits to a cutover date.

WAREHOUSE

Lakehouse & warehousing

Medallion architecture from bronze ingest to curated gold marts, governed so one set of tables serves reporting, analytics and downstream consumers rather than spawning copies.

ANALYTICS

Dashboards & reporting

Executive and operational reporting on a governed semantic layer, including live pipeline health that replaced stale extract-based reporting staff had stopped trusting.

GOVERNANCE

Quality & governance

Data quality rules, lineage and access controls, so that when someone asks where a number came from there is an answer that does not require archaeology.

MIGRATION PATTERN

Nobody gets a big-bang cutover

Every migration we run is a parallel run first. Old and new process the same inputs, and we reconcile outputs until the difference is explainable line by line.

01

Inventory

Every mapping, job, table and dependency catalogued, including the ones nobody remembers building. The count is usually higher than expected.

02

Parallel run

New pipelines process the same inputs alongside the incumbent. No traffic moves until outputs reconcile.

03

Cut over in waves

By transaction type or partner, never all at once, with a rollback path that stays live for a defined window.

04

Decommission

The old platform goes dark only after a full cycle runs clean, and that is when the licence saving actually starts.

Start with something small enough to be reversible.
